COVID 19 update (November 13, 2020):

Unfortunately, the number of cases are rapidly on the rise again and the BC government is acting as they see best to stop the exploding numbers - and still allow freedom to those in areas less affected. Fortunately, at this time, the Vancouver Island Health Region is showing relatively low numbers compared to the Lower Mainland and Vancouver; hence the 'suggested' regional ban for travel for those areas with the higher exposure risk. At this time, most of the guests already registered to stay at TTWL are from the Vancouver Island area and are not affected by the "suggested" travel bans in place for the Lower mainland/Vancouver areas. That being said, government restrictions can change anytime.

This notice is to update you with the COVID-19 situation and how it may/will affect our business decisions. The continuous change in BC Government policy and/or our decisions made for the safety of ALL of our guests may require us to make tough choices that may negatively affect your booking.

As of today (November 13, 2020), these are updated/additional policies of TTWL:

1) We will not be taking any more bookings from groups with some or all members that live in areas affected by suggested or firm travel bans until the travel bans are lifted.

2) We will require a full name, phone number and address for each guest that has a different address than others - within 5 days of arrival. Families and couples only need to give one full name, contact and address. This is required by the government for quicker contact tracing. Obviously, this information is confidential and private.

3) Any group with members that live in areas with Government implemented travel bans, those members will not be allowed to attend. If you are a mixed group of "Islanders" and "non-Islanders" please consider the implications of this statement.

4) We will do our best to update guests if federal and provincial government restrictions come into effect that affect our ability to host some or all guests. After each notification, guests/groups will have 5 days to get a full refund for their stay. After this 5 day period, that group risks no refund if the restriction is not lifted before their stay. (As per our refund policy, if we can rebook the dates at the same value, then we will give a full refund).

5) We are heavily booked in December, January and February and have days where one group is checking out the same day as the next group is checking in. We do have a plan in place to clean appropriately between groups for same day check-in/check outs but if you are one of the groups arriving on one of these days and you are now uncomfortable with this arrangement due to the increased cases of COVID on Vancouver Island, we will cancel your booking and give you a full refund. You have 5 days to make this decision.

6) Anyone travelling from an area that requires 14 days isolation cannot use their stay in TTWL as part of their quarantine.

6) We reserve the right to update our policies at any time. We do not take changes to our policies very lightly and understand the importance of consistency. Unfortunately, COVID 19 is not being consistent.

We really do not want to cancel a trip for anyone but we have to think of the health of all our guests and we want to be a part of the solution, not the problem, for the spread of the coronavirus.
